Fourth anniversary of the most expensive lie in Victorian history

Four years ago today Daniel Andrews relied on “high-level legal advice” from Ray Finkelstein, Richard Niall QC and Siobhan Keating regarding the East West Link contract.

Daniel Andrews claimed the East West Link contract ‘wasn’t worth the paper it was written on.’

That cost Victorian taxpayers $1.3 billion, the most expensive lie in Victoria’s history.

Daniel Andrews and his fellow travellers have done a lot of talking lately about blindly accepting legal advice.

Given Daniel Andrews’ new found passion for transparency, perhaps he will now release all legal advice and departmental correspondence relating to the $1.3 billion wasted by cancelling the East West Link contract.
